Do i need a passport to travel to Caborca mexico?
Hello, I live in bakersfield California and i wanted to know what i need to know what documentation do i need to show in the border?

Yes. As of 2007 if you are a US citizen it is required by law to have a valid US Passport to enter both Mexico and Canada. Prior to 2007 it was only required that you have a valid US drivers license or ID.

You only need a passport if you want to come back. (Slightly kidding. The Mexican government requires you to have a passport because they want you to go back.)

You do NOT need a Passport. You can FLY, Walk or Sail to Canada, Mexico and 17 nations in the Caribbean without a Passport and need only a Green Card. Read the link that Charlie gave you and see that Lawful Permanent Residents are an exception to the passport requirement. You should have said you were not a Citizen but a Resident
